New Delhi, April 16 -- Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood on Thursday highlighted the impact of sustained education reforms as Delhi government schools recorded a 97.23 per cent pass percentage in CBSE Class X Results 2026, surpassing the national average of 93.70

per cent.

Congratulating students, teachers and parents, Sood underscored that the achievement reflects a deeper structural transformation in the education system. He said, "This result is not a coincidence but a direct reflection of the empowering ecosystem built under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta." Stressing the scale of improvement, he added that it is "systemic and broad-based, visible not in select schools, but across the entire network of government schools in Delhi."

Sood pointed to a sharp rise in overall school performance, noting that 457 schools recorded 100 per cent results this year, compared to 300 last year, while the number of schools crossing the 90 per cent mark increased from 529 to 924. He described this as clear evidence of a "system-wide transformation."

Highlighting student performance, the Minister said that out of 1,88,460 students who appeared for the exams, 1,83,246 passed. He also drew attention to the growing number of high achievers, with 26 students scoring above 95 per cent and over 5,700 students scoring above 90 per cent.
