
GREATER Noida, June 21 -- An 11-year-old boy was found hanging under mysterious circumstances at his family's under-construction house in Bambawad village under the Badalpur police station area of Greater Noida , police said on Sunday .
The deceased, identified as Samar Nagar, was the son of local resident Nitesh Kumar Nagar, who is currently constructing a new house in the village. According to police, painting and finishing work was underway at the site.
Family members said that due to the ongoing school vacations, Samar and his sibling had gone to the new house to play. During this time, the two brothers reportedly got into a minor argument. One of them subsequently left the room.
A few minutes later, a woman who entered the room allegedly found Samar hanging from a ceiling hook meant for a fan installation. The family immediately rushed the child to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Following the incident, police and forensic teams reached the spot and conducted a detailed inspection. A rope and a wooden ladder were recovered from the room. Evidence from the scene has been collected for further examination. Police said the body has been sent for post-mortem and statements of family members are being recorded. "Prima facie, the case appears to be a suicide. However, all aspects are being thoroughly investigated and no final conclusion will be drawn until the post-mortem report is received," a senior
