New Delhi, Sept. 28 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday launched the 'Delhi Udyog Mitra' portal under the ease of doing business initiative to bring multiple approvals and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) under one umbrella.
The single-window portal will promote ease of doing business and help industrialists and entrepreneurs apply for different licences and NOCs through it, Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said.
More than 15 departments and 50 services have been onboarded on the platform. By next month, another 21 departments and more than 100 services will be onboarded, he told reporters.
The portal will also provide necessary information to entrepreneurs and industrialists who will not have to make rounds of different offices to obtain permissions, Sirsa said.
Applicants will also be able to track the status of their applications filed through the portal. Grievances will also be lodged on it, the minister said.
A helpline number (7827079696) will be available to address grievances from businesspersons and entrepreneurs regarding the single-window system. Complaints would also be lodged through the helpline number.
The portal is expected to provide easier and more convenient access to government services for over 8 lakh traders in Delhi, including MSMEs. The online platform has also been integrated with the National Single Window System (NSWS), allowing investors and businesses to access approvals at both the central and state levels, said a Delhi CMO statement.
The portal's important features include availing services of different departments through a Single Sign-On (SSO) login. The Common Application Form (CAF) will reduce the need for applicants to repeatedly submit the same basic information.
The 'Know Your Approvals' (KYA) feature will help entrepreneurs identify the approvals required for their proposed business. Through the applicant dashboard, users will be able to view the status of their applications in one place.
The guidance module will also provide FAQs, manuals and information related to services, helping entrepreneurs understand the required process before submitting an application, the statement said.
The Chief Minister said that the ease of doing business is not limited to putting processes online and added it is about creating a system based on trust, transparency and convenience between the government and the business community.
The 'Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal' is an important reform in this direction, she emphasised.
The government will further expand the 'Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal' through service integration, process simplification and digital transformation, she added.
