New Delhi, April 2 -- Amid disruption to global energy supplies due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran on Thursday assured India that all ships headed for the country would be granted safe passage. Calling India a "friend", Tehran said India-bound vessels, along with their sailors and crew, are safe and need not worry.
In a post on X, the Iranian Embassy in India reiterated the assurance, stating, "Our Indian friends are in safe hands, no worries."
