India, July 24 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday handed over financial assistance of Rs 1 crore to the family of a frontline worker who lost his life while performing duty during the COVID-19 pandemic. The compensation, which had been pending for years, was released by the Delhi Government as part of its commitment to support the families of personnel who made the supreme sacrifice during the health crisis. While presenting the cheque, the Chief Minister said the contribution and sacrifice of frontline workers who laid down their lives in the line of duty during the pandemic would always be remembered.
