Kuala Lampur, Aug. 21 -- Seeing a little blood in the sink after brushing or flossing is easy to dismiss. Some people assume they have brushed too hard. Others become accustomed to seeing it and simply regard it as normal.
However, do you know, gums that repeatedly bleed deserve attention?
Bleeding is one of the common early signs that the gum tissue around the teeth is inflamed. It may be accompanied by redness, swelling, tenderness or persistent bad breath, although, in the early stages there may be little or no discomfort at all.
That absence of pain is one reason gum disease is so easily overlooked. A toothache tends to demand attention. Bleeding gums often do not.
