KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 24 -- Lim You did not expect to score so many goals at the Merdeka Srikandi Cup, let alone finish the tournament as its top scorer with eight goals.

The young Malaysian forward was quick to play down her individual achievement, saying the goals were the result of a collective effort from her teammates.

"When I first came, I didn't expect to score so many goals and I think it's all a team effort and we all did it together," said the 14-year-old.

Lim's eight-goal haul was enough to see her finish as the tournament's leading scorer, a standout individual achievement in her first appearance at the competition.
