SHAH ALAM, Sept. 3 -- Two warehouses processing plastic waste were destroyed in a fire in Section 32 here last night, with three forklifts, a lorry and two compressors also caught in the blaze, Sinar Harian reported.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Ashrul Riezal Asbar was quoted as saying the department received an emergency call about the incident at 10.59pm.

He said 26 personnel and officers from the Shah Alam Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by teams from the Andalas, Bukit Jelutong and North Klang stations, were sent to the scene with fire engines.

The location was about 10km from the Shah Alam station, he said.
