KUCHING, Sept. 6 -- Two foreign nationals have been remanded for allegedly taking plant specimens without permission from Santubong National Park last Thursday.

Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) said both individuals were remanded for three days, from September 4 to September 7, to assist with the investigation.

"On September 3 at around 1.50pm, the two individuals were checking out of the park after conducting an activity in the area. Following observations, they were suspected of taking and collecting plant specimens from the area.
