SIBU, Sept. 25 -- Malaysia is looking forward to finalising a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cultural cooperation with Russia following the submission of its counterproposal in August, said Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing.

He said the proposed MoU would provide a framework for closer collaboration between cultural institutions, practitioners and entrepreneurs from both countries.

"The MoU will provide a framework for closer collaboration among our cultural institutions, practitioners and entrepreneurs, including through cultural showcases, professional exchanges, student engagement and partnerships in cultural tourism and the creative economy," he said in a Facebook post yesterday.
