SEOUL, Oct. 16 -- South Korean author Baek Se-hee, known for her best-selling book I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki, has died.
According to Chosun Biz, Baek, 35, was declared brain-dead and passed away at National Health Insurance Service Ilsan Hospital, where multiple organs were donated, giving five individuals a chance at new lives, officials said.
A message from Baek's younger sibling was shared through the Korea Organ Donation Agency, describing her as a loving and gentle person. As reported by Chosun Biz, the note expresseda heartfelt farewell.
