Skincare brand Neutrogena admits it 'made Hayden Panettiere feel unsupported' after late actor's claims spark boycott calls
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21 -- Skincare brand Neutrogena has acknowledged making Hayden Panettiere "feel unsupported during a very difficult time", as the late actor's claims about being dropped by the skincare brand for speaking publicly about postpartum depression fuel renewed backlash and boycott calls.
Panettiere, the Heroes and Nashville actor, died on Sunday aged 36.
Since her death, passages from her 2026 memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, detailing the end of her decade-long relationship with Neutrogena have circulated widely online.
"We are deeply saddened by Hayden Panettiere's passing," the company said in a statement posted to social media yesterday.
"For more than a decade, Hayden was a valued member of our Neutrogena community.
