SINGAPORE, April 2 - Singapore has established the Homefront Crisis Ministerial Committee to coordinate the nation's response towards the ongoing global energy crisis, said Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

In a video message addressing Singaporeans, Wong said the committee will be chaired by the Coordinating Minister for National Security, K Shanmugam with Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong as adviser.

"The team has begun work. It is updating existing contingency plans and developing new ones in  light of these unprecedented developments.

"First, we are taking active steps to strengthen our energy and supply chain resilience," he said on Thursday.
