SINGAPORE, Oct. 20 -- Village Hotel Sentosa in Singapore is assisting the police after a guest alleged that S$3,000 (RM9,786) in cash was stolen from his room earlier this week.

According to The Straits Times, police received a call for assistance at 10 Artillery Avenue - the address of the hotel - at around 1.35pm on October 17.

A 34-year-old woman is assisting with investigations for the offence of theft in dwelling.

A spokesman for Far East Hospitality, which operates the hotel, confirmed the incident and said the company is "cooperating fully with the authorities and remains in contact with the guest to support the ongoing process."
