KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 11 -- A seven-year-old Indonesian boy who fell into a river while playing with friends near Matahari Supermarket in Persiaran Subang Indah in Subang Jaya yesterday was found drowned this morning.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) said in a statement that the boy was found at 10.59am by personnel from the Subang Jaya Fire and Rescue Station and its Water Rescue Team (PPDA), Astro Awani reported.

"The victim's body was found about three kilometres from the location where he was reported to have fallen into the river at 6.30pm yesterday.

"The victim's body was brought to the Fire Control Centre at noon for identification by his parents," it said.

The body was later handed over to police for further action ...
