KOTA KINABALU, Oct. 21 -- The Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) Sabah will take action against the operator of the trailer truck involved in the fatal accident near Sepanggar Port on Sunday.

Chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe said the board will meet on Oct 30 to discuss and finalise appropriate action against the operator.

He stressed that CVLB will not compromise on any negligence or breaches of regulations that could endanger road users.

This includes considering recommendations to suspend or revoke the relevant licence, subject to the findings of the investigation and applicable laws and regulations, he said.

He said CVLB Sabah will also continue to work closely with the Royal Malaysia Police and Road Transport Department (JPJ)...
