Kuala Lampur, Aug. 16 -- MELAKA, Aug 16 - Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) has announced candidates for 15 of the 28 seats in the Melaka state legislative assembly, becoming the first party to unveil its candidates ahead of the state election, The Star reported.

The party's line-up includes Dr Muhamad Solehin Saleh, 40, the elder brother of Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh, who will contest Bemban.

Bersama co-founder Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli said the early announcement was made before the state assembly is dissolved, allowing voters more time to assess the candidates and their plans.

"We are doing this before Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh has even thought about dissolving the state assembly," he was quoted as sayi...
