KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 1 -- Police have detained 17 individuals to assist in investigations into an alleged brawl at a residential flat in Lembah Jaya, following a video clip circulating on social media.

Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Khairul Anuar Khalid said the district control centre received a public alert at 2.07am on 31 October regarding a fight at the Lembah Jaya flats along Jalan 3, Lembah Jaya Utara.

A mobile patrol vehicle (MPV) unit was immediately dispatched to the scene. While officers found no active clash upon arrival, a group of people had gathered at the location.

"A total of 17 individuals were detained to assist in the investigation," he said.
