KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 9 -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that the affordable housing township Bandar Madani Bukit Jalil will be developed as a residential area complete with amenities, including a vertical school.

During the tabling of Budget 2027 today, he said registration for the first phase of the proposed 17,000-unit housing development will open on Monday.

Anwar, who is also the finance minister, said nearly RM1 billion has also been allocated for projects under the People-Friendly Homes (Rumah Mesra Rakyat) and People's Residency Programme (Program Residensi Rakyat).
