Passenger safely rescued after falling onto Hang Tuah LRT tracks, services resume within 16 minutes (VIDEO)
KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 -- A passenger was rescued after allegedly fainting and falling onto the tracks at Rapid KL's Hang Tuah LRT station yesterday evening, prompting a brief suspension of train services on the Ampang and Sri Petaling lines.
In a statement issued last night, Rapid KL said the incident occurred at 6.36pm at Hang Tuah station, where the passenger was believed to have fainted before losing balance and falling onto the tracks.
Auxiliary Police personnel stationed on the platform responded immediately to provide initial assistance, while power to the tracks was temporarily cut to allow rescue operations to be carried out safely.
