KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 -- PAS has instructed its leaders and members not to comment publicly on recent developments involving the Islamist party without prior approval from its top leadership.

Its secretary-general, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, said the directive applies across all media and communication platforms, including social media, to prevent confusion and misinterpretation.

He urged members to remain calm and leave the matter to PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang and the party leadership to handle "carefully" in the coming days.
