KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 18 -- Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has announced that he will go on his honeymoon with singer-actress Bella Astillah after Parliament's current sitting ends in December.

He said his immediate priority was fulfilling his responsibilities as an MP, although the couple planned to take short breaks together in the meantime.

"That remains my fundamental responsibility.

"While I owe a duty to my wife in my private capacity, I also owe a duty to my fellow Malaysians who elected me to Parliament.

"After Parliament, obviously, we will go on our honeymoon.

"In the meantime, we will take short breaks.
