Pahang police to record more statements in probe into student's claim of being slapped by politician
Kuala Lampur, June 3 -- KUANTAN, June 3 - Pahang police will record the statements of several witnesses to complete investigations of a public university student who claimed he was slapped by a politician in Janda Baik, Bentong on May 20.
Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said the student, 23, lodged a police report at 12.11 pm last Saturday (May 30) about the alleged slapping incident that occurred on May 20 during a university programme.
"Preliminary investigations revealed a man, 62, who is a politician, was believed to have slapped the left cheek of the victim in front of several individuals at the location.
