Negeri Sembilan DKU seeks court injunction to block chiefs from meeting, ousting secretary
SEREMBAN, June 5 -- The Dewan Keadilan dan Undang Negeri Sembilan (DKU) has applied for an interlocutory injunction to stop several ruling chiefs from holding a special sitting and from removing its secretary, Raja Norazli Raja Nordin.
The application, filed in the High Court here, seeks to restrain the plaintiffs - five Undang and one Tunku Besar - from convening any DKU meetings, including the special sitting announced for June 5, and from interfering with Raja Norazli's role.
The DKU also asked the court to bar the chiefs from setting up committees to assume the secretary's powers, issuing statements on behalf of the council, or making decisions that alter its governance and affairs.
