KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 24 -- A man who went missing five days ago was found dead inside a locked car parked outside a supermarket in Jalan Impian Mahkota late last night, ending a desperate search by his family that had circulated on social media.

Kajang district police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof said authorities were alerted to the stationary vehicle at 11.29pm after passers-by spotted a motionless figure in the front cabin, NST reported.

"Initial investigations found a man, believed to be in his 50s, lying unconscious in the driver's seat of a Perodua Axia.

"The engine was off and the car was locked from the inside," he said.
