Melaka polls: BN pushes alliance talks to next week, says no preferred partner yet
MELAKA, Oct. 1 -- Barisan Nasional (BN) has postponed talks with potential political partners for the Melaka state election until next week, with state coalition chairman Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh saying no preferred ally has been identified.
Ab Rauf said the talks had not been called off but were being rescheduled to allow a more suitable date to be fixed, Sinar Harian reported.
"The negotiations have not been called off, but postponed to a more suitable date.
"Umno secretary-general Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has also issued an official statement saying that any party will be invited to hold negotiations with Melaka BN.
