Marine police officer shot while colleague unloads firearm in Lahad Datu
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 27 -- A Marine Police Force (PPM) officer was injured after being shot while on duty at the Marine Guard Post in Lahad Datu, Sabah, yesterday.
The Lance Corporal sustained injuries to the middle finger of his left hand and abdomen, according to Harian Metro.
Lahad Datu district police chief Assistant Commissioner Dzulbaharin Ismail said police received a report on the incident on the same day.
He said the officer was shot while a colleague was unloading a firearm at the scene.
"The victim received initial treatment at Lahad Datu Hospital before being referred to Tawau Hospital for further treatment.
