Man taken to hospital after suspected self-inflicted stabbing in Singapore's Clementi
SINGAPORE, Aug. 10 -- A 56-year-old member of the public disarmed a 34-year-old man who had suffered injuries believed to be self-inflicted in Clementi, Singapore, this afternoon, before police arrived at the scene.
The younger man was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment, Mothership reported.
Police said they received a call for assistance at Block 441B Clementi Avenue 3 at about 12.20pm.
When officers arrived, they found the 34-year-old lying conscious with injuries believed to have been self-inflicted.
Before police reached the scene, the 56-year-old man had taken a knife away from him and disarmed him, according to police.
The older man was not injured but was also taken to hospital conscious as a precaution.
