Man in Singapore aiming for birds hits Woodlands flat window instead, now faces the music
SINGAPORE, Aug. 2 -- A 56-year-old man will be charged after a marble he allegedly fired from a catapult at a flock of birds struck and damaged a bedroom window at a Woodlands flat last Friday.
Police were alerted to the damaged window at a residential unit in Block 646 Woodlands Ring Road on July 28, The Straits Times reported today.
"The damage was believed to be caused by an impact from a projectile," the police said in a statement.
Officers from the Woodlands Police Division identified the suspect through ground enquiries and arrested him yesterday.
Investigations found that the man had allegedly used a catapult to shoot marbles at birds in the area when one of the projectiles hit the window.
