KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 29 -- Three DAP lawmakers have welcomed the launch of the National Suicide and Fatal Injury Registry Malaysia (NSFIRM) and the Ministry of Health's Postvention Services Guidelines, while calling for stronger crisis helpline standards.

In a joint statement, Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen and state assemblymen Lim Yi Wei (Kampung Tunku) and Michelle Ng Mei Sze (Subang Jaya) said the launch, three years after attempted suicide was decriminalised, reaffirms the government's commitment to mental health.
