Kuala Pilah hostel death: Form Four student's remand extended seven days until Oct 8
KUALA PILAH, Oct. 1 -- The remand order for a 16-year-old male student detained to assist investigations into the death of a Form Two student at a school hostel in Kuala Pilah on September 25 has been extended by seven days.
Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the suspect's extended remand runs from October 2 to October 8, following an order issued by the Kuala Pilah Magistrates' Court today, Sinar Harian reported.
"The suspect's previous seven-day remand period ends today, and police applied for an extension before the magistrate to enable further investigations," he said.
He said police have so far recorded statements from 70 individuals, including students, teachers and coaches.
