KOTA BELUD, Aug. 29 -- In a scene reminiscent of another that brought down a glass door at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport earlier this month, a 61-year-old driver lost control of her Perodua Ativa and crashed into a Perodua Alza and car wash along Jalan Raya, Thursday.

Kota Belud District Police Chief Supt Khairul Shah Peri said the incident occurred at 9.30am after the woman had finished using the automatic car wash.

"Initial investigations found that the driver lost control of her vehicle after exiting the automatic car wash machine," he said in a statement yesterday.

The Ativa then veered off and crashed into the Alza parked nearby before hitting the iron structure of the automatic car wash.
