Kelantan police say Malaysia-Thailand border remains secure after Pattani shooting
KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 -- Police have assured the public that security along the Malaysia-Thailand border in Kelantan remains under control despite a recent armed attack targeting Thai police officers in Pattani.
According to Utusan Malaysia, Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat said security at border entry points had been reinforced through round-the-clock monitoring and patrols to ensure no threats could compromise national sovereignty.
He said police remained on high alert over issues such as illegal immigration, cross-border crime and other potential security threats.
