SEPANG, Oct. 14 -- Selangor Road Transport Department (JPJ) enforcers have arrested a man for offering illegal car hire services to an international traveller at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1.

The arrest followed surveillance and intelligence operations by the KLIA Enforcement Station targeting unlicensed transport activities.

JPJ said the suspect, who was driving a Toyota Alphard, had offered to take an Egyptian passenger to Bukit Bintang for RM200, payable upon arrival.

The vehicle and its driver were detained for further investigation into illegal taxi operations.
