JOHOR BAHRU, Aug. 19 -- Police have arrested five individuals, while three investigation papers opened following several recent cases involving the Malaysian flag and the Johor state flag being displayed upside-down in the state.

Johor deputy police chief Hoo Chuan Huat said the arrests were from three reported cases that were under the Kulai, Iskandar Puteri and Johor Bahru South police jurisdictions.

He said the investigation papers for all three cases are being completed and will soon be referred to the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) for further action.
