Haze: Schools in Perak, Negeri Sembilan to reopen tomorrow
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 11 -- Schools in three Perak districts and educational institutions across Negeri Sembilan will resume normal operations tomorrow, following reviews of air quality and prevailing conditions.
Perak Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports Committee chairman Datuk Khairudin Abu Hanipah said schools in Kinta Utara, Kinta Selatan and Kuala Kangsar could reopen after Air Pollutant Index (API) readings at all monitoring stations in the state remained below 150 as of 2pm today, according to a report by national news agency Bernama.
The schools had been closed last Friday after unhealthy air quality was recorded in the affected areas.
