KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 13 -- Grab has quietly rolled out a new Women-Only Rides (Beta) feature in Malaysia, matching female passengers exclusively with female driver-partners.

For many women, this is a significant feature that directly addresses personal safety concerns and offers greater comfort and peace of mind when travelling alone or late at night.

However, the service cannot be used for instant, on-demand e-hailing and requires users to complete a mandatory identity verification process before the option becomes accessible in the app.

Advance Booking only and location availability

To use the service, passengers must secure their trip using Grab's Advance Booking feature, as real-time bookings are not supported.
