KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 -- Garnier Malaysia has launched a sustainability initiative that includes a 1,500-tree planting project at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) and a beauty packaging recycling programme at selected Watsons stores across the Klang Valley.

Announced in conjunction with World Environment Day few weeks ago, the initiative forms part of Garnier's global Collective for the Planet campaign, which aims to encourage environmental action through community participation and responsible consumption.

The tree-planting project will see 1,500 native tropical forest trees planted across 8.6 acres of the UPSI Arboretum in collaboration with the Malaysia Nature Society, 500 UPSI student volunteers and Garnier stakeholders.
