PETALING JAYA, Sept. 27 -- Civil society group G25 has urged Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim to resign, saying he has lost credibility and moral authority after his role in attempts to remove His Royal Highness Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as Yang di Pertuan Besar.

In a statement today, G25 said the April 19 proclamation to depose Tuanku Muhriz was "unconstitutional, null and void" as declared by the Dewan Keadilan dan Undang (DKU), which found that three of the four Undangs behind it had no valid customary standing.

The DKU also noted that no "full and complete enquiry" required under Article 10 of the State Constitution was ever conducted.
