KOTA KINABALU, June 30 -- A 31-year-old massage therapist was charged in the Magistrate's Court here to molesting a male client during a body massage session.

Ahmad Johan Yong Abdullah pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Dzul Elmy Yunus to using criminal force on a 38-year-old man with intent to outrage his modesty at a massage outlet in Imago Shopping Mall on June 21, at 1.30pm.

The charge under Section 354 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to 10 years, or a fine, or whipping, or any two of the punishments, on conviction.

The court fixed Aug 5 for pre-trial case management and released the accused on bail of RM3,000 with two sureties.
