KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 13 -- A foreign general worker died after receiving an electric shock while attempting to move an uninsulated cable at a construction site in Petaling Jaya, near here, the day before yesterday.

The Selangor Department of Occupational Safety and Health (JKKP) said it received information about the incident and directed investigation officers to conduct a probe, according to Harian Metro.

"Preliminary investigations found that prior to the incident, a truck was carrying out earthmoving work, and the vehicle's bucket is believed to have hit an electric cable, causing it to snap and become exposed.
