KUCHING, Oct. 9 -- Police are tracking down eight more suspects in connection with alleged arson attacks on convenience stores in several districts late last month.

Acting Sarawak Police Commissioner DCP Saifullizan Ishak said five suspects had been arrested in connection with the case.

"Those having information regarding the case may contact investigating officer Insp Tan Chiang Fook at 018-2628805, or approach any nearest police station," he said.

Saifullizan also advised the public to refrain from making speculations that could affect police investigations.

The wanted suspects, aged between 20 and 44, comprise seven locals and one foreign national.
