KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 19 -- A quarrel at a petrol station in Pandan Indah ended with a driver suffering injuries following a confrontation with a lorry driver two days ago.

Ampang Jaya police chief Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said the altercation took place on October 17 after the suspect accused the victim of cutting the queue at the pump, The Star reported.

"He then explained that he was using a different pump. After making payment, the victim was then approached by the suspect again and a fight ensued," he told the English daily today.

During the fight, the victim suffered injuries to the nose, left hand, and head.

According to Mohd Azam, members of the public stepped in to break up the fight.
