KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 -- Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has dismissed speculation about an early 16th General Election (GE16) this year, saying Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has given no such indication.

Fahmi, who also serves as the unity government's spokesman, said the PM's priority remains squarely on addressing the public's problems and implementing reforms, The Star reported.

"There is no indication from the prime minister, but he has reminded leaders and members of parliament to always be prepared for any possibility," Fahmi was quoted saying after an event here today.
