KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 30 -- ETS and KTM Komuter services were disrupted this morning after a 25kV overhead power line between Batang Benar and Labu was severed, with KTMB saying an animal may have triggered the incident.

In a statement today, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) said the disruption began at 6.24am at KM434.423, affecting power supply and forcing some trains to be delayed or terminate their journeys early while inspections and repairs were carried out.

Preliminary checks found that the incident was suspected to have been caused by an animal coming into contact with both a live wire and an earth wire, causing an electrical fault.
