Did you see this hit-and-run? Police seek witnesses after man dies changing punctured tyre on Cheras-Kajang Highway
KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 -- A 46-year-old man was killed moments after changing a punctured tyre when a passing MPV struck him as he removed a makeshift warning bucket from the Cheras-Kajang Highway.
The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene without stopping, police said today.
The collision happened at about 10pm yesterday at Kilometre 13.0 of the highway.
Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said preliminary investigations found that the victim had pulled his silver Toyota Innova onto the left shoulder after one of its tyres burst.
He had been travelling with five passengers.
After replacing the tyre, he walked to the rear of the vehicle to remove the bucket he had placed on the carriageway to war...
