KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 4 -- Police have reclassified the death of Taiwanese influencer Hsieh Yu-hsin, who was found dead at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur last month, as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Kuala Lumpur police chief CP Datuk Fadil Marsus confirmed the reclassification in a statement today, saying the case, which was initially investigated as a sudden death (SDR), had been upgraded following further investigations that were still ongoing.
Although the police statement did not identify the victim by name, the case is believed to be linked to Hsieh, who was known online as Iris Hsieh or "Nurse Goddess".
