KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 8 -- Sabah Cuepacs has clarified that while civil servants' behaviour at private events is a personal matter, they are expected to maintain professionalism and uphold the dignity of their positions at all times.

Cuepacs is the umbrella body representing civil servants and public-sector employees in Malaysia, covering a wide range of unions across federal and state levels.

The statement comes in response to a recent reminder from the national Cuepacs president, Datuk Adnan Mat, regarding the conduct of civil servants at official functions.
