KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 27 -- Is 200 litres of subsidised RON95 enough to get through the month?

That is a question some motorists are still asking after the government reduced the monthly Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) eligibility limit from 300 litres to 200 litres, effective April 1, 2026.

While RON95 fuel subsidised under Budi95 remains at RM1.99 a litre, the unsubsidised price for August 20 to 26 was RM3.77 a litre.

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) confirmed that the government bore RM1.78 a litre in subsidies for eligible users that week.
