KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 31 -- Dr Muhammad Solehin Saleh, the elder brother of Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh, is among 16 Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) candidates contesting the Melaka state election.

Muhammad Solehin, 40, is representing the party in the Bemban state seat under the Jasin parliamentary constituency in a four-cornered fight, Sinar Harian reported.

He will face Muhammad Rabaie Ab Hamid of Bersatu, Mohd Yadzil Yaakub of PN-Wawasan and independent candidate Abd Halim Said.

Muhammad Solehin is a medical doctor with a Bachelor of General Medicine from Universitas Sriwijaya, Indonesia.
